How long does it take to drop of a rental car at DIA? Are the rental cars on site at the airport, close by via a shuttle or far away via shuttle? How much time should I allot for drop-off? I'm on a pretty tight schedule.Rental Cars at the Denver Airport?
All the rental cars are physically off site, but not too far, and you take a shuttle between the lots and the terminal.
Drop off delay depends on time of day, 20 minutes is probably enough to allow from the time you get to the rental car return location until the shuttle drops you at the terminal entrance. Might even be a bit less.Rental Cars at the Denver Airport?
Some are on site others are off site. For example I rented a car at enterprise and they have shuttle that takes you to the car lot. Its technically at the airport but its not right there where you could walk up and drive a car away.
DIA is horrible, I always check in at curbside and then return the car. The shuttle will bring you back and you won't have to bother with baggage.

maybe 5 miles. I would say, if you are already checked in online....get your car back min of 1 hour before takeoff
