How come the prices of rental cars in Orlando Florida have gone up so much? The prices are almost double what?

we paid 2 years ago it is rediculous? How come the prices of rental cars in Orlando Florida have gone up so much? The prices are almost double what?
The pricing analysts at the big rental car companies are some of the best revenue maximizers anywhere - for Orlando, that means as supply gets low, the prices go WAY up. High demand times, like holidays, spring break, etc. drive prices up sometimes 100-400%.How come the prices of rental cars in Orlando Florida have gone up so much? The prices are almost double what?
Ok i live in Orlando Florida.. so i might be able to help you. Prices have gone up becasue gas is so expensive .. and i think insurence on things went up to im not so sure. But yes my family rented a car it was their firast and last time doing it.. i hope this will answer you question.
It's supply and demand. Orlando is a HUGE tourist desintination, with many airlines servicing the area. Many people want to rent cars. Therefore, rental car agencies can charge whatever they like because most people will pay it. (It'll be cheaper in a non-tourist town.)

If you can get the car off airport, I suggest pricing that way - you'll probably save a few bucks.
