College degree and stuck working at Enterprise rental cars?

anybody work at Enterprise rent a car out of college? I am in the management training program and it sux! 60 hour work week for $35000 a year. Is that a legal wage (seems like slave labor to me). You think this job will look good on resume, or should I quit and cut my losses now?College degree and stuck working at Enterprise rental cars?
Since its training, and not an actual management job, I think the program will benefit your resume. Don't do it for too long though. As long as a more rewarding job is waiting for you at the end of the program, why not stick it out?College degree and stuck working at Enterprise rental cars?
how long have you been in this job? are you still on good terms with your career center on campus? You should never quit a job, until you have another. I know it sucks, but try to set up interviews at other jobs on your lunch break. at least when you go on these interviews, you will already be in ';uniform';. i worked at a job that was a required 50 hr work week, minimum. i felt like i had no life. and it sucked. so i can sympathize. keep the job as long as you possibly can. try to hit up your career center and/or friends that have jobs. if interviewers ask why you want to leave so soon, tell them that you had a different impression of what their training program would be like. (don't blame them, but insinuate they led you astray by misrepresenting what you would actually be required to do.) luckily, you can say you just needed a job straight out of college, but now you have really found what you wanted to do, which is [insert company name/job here].
No job is worth doing if you don't enjoy it in any way. Also, you have to give to get. So, I would take into consideration how i felt personally about the job itself, the benefits, the pay, and how many other opportunities are around you, or if you are willing to move. If you are married or engaged, I would strongly suggest talking it over with your signifcant other too. I wasn't happy with my last job, so I went out and got a new one. Money was my 3rd reason for quitting there. The atmosphere and job satisfaction were my main reasons. Good luck. If you need help seeing what's available as far as jobs, go to www.jobcentral.com. GREAT website. If you want to get some pay info about your field or any other field, go to www.acinet.org. Another GREAT website.
My daughter received a college degree in Computer Programming with a minor in Math. She worked at the library for 2 years after her graduation. She finally got a job with a computer firm. She has several raises and promotions. Hang in there something will come up for you. A good reference is better than no reference at all.
Yes, this can look good on a resume - due to the management training program.

Most jobs out of college that lead to something later, have long hours. I have not heard of anyone that earns 100K or more not having a 60 plus hour work week.

What are your goals,

make just enough cash to cover expenses?

make a ton of cash and move up in management somewhere?

own your own business?

graduate school at some point?

Each of the above have next steps for them. I strongly suggest spending some time with college career center and taking their career assessment tests. The test typically cover:

interests

values

potential skill sets

These will enable you to focus on another career opportunity and get out of the ';job'; rut. Jobs are just that jobs - just organized busyness for low pay. Careers are Critical Activities Requiring Exploration and Endeavors that Reach the Stars

Good luck in making that next move count!
