you can go to the typical www.travelocity.com, www.expedia.com, www.priceline.com, www.orbitz.com, www.cheaptickets.com to find and compare rates. I tend to check at least 2 for airfare and then buy direct from the airline for the best prices. Travelocity and Expedia are good for comparing times, days and respective prices.
For rebates, try www.ebates.com - once you sign up, free, you can link directly to certain travel sites to get rebates (make sure to use the link), there's over 200 stores and they give rebates anywhere from 1-12% on over 500 retailers and they also have coupons posted for a lot of places as well - worth checking out!
