Ummm, i don't know if this is true but it is certainly worth a try... Those rent a car sales technicians act so sophisticated but in actuality they are just telemarketers on wheels... they fight one another and each other and other companies for your business, and they each get commissions and their businesses get commissions.. so rather than see you walk out the door to rent the car of your choice that they don't have from another company, often times they'll give you a deal on a less superior car of your choice...got it?
I just found out how to get a great deal on rental cars. A friend told me about it. I went to www.priceline.com and bid on a rental car. They use reliable name brand companies. Research online and see how much the type of car you want to rent is going for daily before taxes and go to name your own price and name a price and see if they accept it. You have to bid on it with your credit card. I just did it and saved over 100 a week. I was amazed. Dont be afraid to bid low you can always go up in price.
